This pic, taken during medical testing, shows Mark strapped into the IMBP centrifuge, in which he had to respond to tests while spinning so fast that he was at 8g's, or 8 times the normal force of gravity. This simulates the maximum expected g-load during re-entry to the atmosphere at the end of the flight. This pic shows Marina, one of the lovely IMBP doctors, and Sergey Riazanski, one of their brightest researchers and a cosmonaut candidate.
